Enjoy Ultimate Comfort—
Plus These Ultimate Benefits!
1. Lower Your Tax Bill!
Recent federal legislation has extended and revised federal tax credits for homeowners on qualifying heating and cooling products. The new law provides a tax credit of up to $500 on the installed cost of qualifying high-efficiency heating and air conditioning equipment placed in service in 2011.
This gives you a limited time to make the most of an incredible opportunity! Contact your heating and cooling dealer to find out about the Comfortmaker® high-efficiency products that qualify for this tax credit. You’ll learn how to get high-quality, high-efficiency home comfort and up to $500 subtracted directly from your total tax amount.
For example, if your calculated tax is $500, you would subtract the $500 tax credit and end up paying no federal income taxes this year! ¶
¶See your tax advisor regarding the “Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010” for complete details on how this credit would apply to you.
2. Lower Your Monthly Utility Bill!
Did you know that your older, less efficient heating or cooling system could be costing you money every month on utility bills?
According to the Environmental Protection Agency and other experts: “As much as half of the energy used in your home goes to heating and cooling. So making smart decisions about your home’s heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system can have a big effect on your utility bills—and your comfort.”†
Depending on how old your system is, a new high-efficiency Comfortmaker system could save you up to 40% on your utility costs. So it makes more sense to replace your system rather than continue to repair it. You save even more as utility costs continue to rise!
3. Increase Your Peace of Mind!
Comfortmaker systems come with the confidence of long-lasting warranties.* The Comfortmaker No Hassle Replacement™ limited warranty assures continued comfort—no worries, no questions. You get a replacement unit if a major component (compressor, covered coil or heat exchanger) should fail during the covered period. Our standard warranty provides a limited warranty on all functional parts. Most Comfortmaker units feature an impressive 10 year parts limited warranty. Other components, such as heat exchangers, may carry an even longer limited warranty. In fact, select Comfortmaker gas furnace models are covered by a lifetime heat exchanger limited warranty! For specific warranty details, review the warranty certificate or ask your dealer for information.
*Timely registration required for 10 year limited parts warranty and lifetime heat exchanger limited warranty. Limited warranty period is 5 years for parts and 20 years for heat exchanger if not registered within 90 days of installation. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will receive the registered limited warranty periods. Please see warranty certificate for further details and restrictions.

New Tax Credits At-a-Glance
The new credits are available for qualifying products that are purchased and “placed in service” between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2011.
|Amount of Tax Credit:
Up to $500 maximum, based on fixed amounts for specific products (see previous chart).
If a qualifying tax credit does not total $500, the remaining unearned portion of the tax credit can be earned at a later time with a separate qualifying purchase (until 12/31/2011).
|How to Claim Tax Credit:
Specific information on how to claim the tax credit should be obtained directly from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Manufacturer’s certification statements are provided for your records and to support your tax credit claims for these systems. Have your installing contractor circle or highlight the system installed in the home.
|Do all ENERGY STAR® products qualify?
No, not all. The minimum efficiencies for this new tax credit are higher than the minimum requirements to qualify for the ENERGY STAR designation. Some ENERGY STAR equipment meets tax credit minimums; some does not.
Check the manufacturer's certification statement carefully to be sure.
|Where to find the Manufacturer's Certification Statement:
|Do third-party coils qualify when installed with a Comfortmaker outdoor unit?
International Comfort Products, LLC, does not rate its outdoor sections with third-party indoor sections (coils) and thus is not able to certify such combinations. The third-party manufacturer of the indoor section may elect to rate such combinations and to provide certification statements.
